Prof. Z. B. Mirza (Prof. Zahid Baig Mirza) is the most experienced naturalist and ornithologist of Pakistan and has gained widespread international and national recognition for his dedicated work as a field scientist. To date, Prof. Mirza has authored over 60 research publications and 27 books including the widely acclaimed Field Guide to Birds of Pakistan and the Illustrated Handbook of Animal Biodiversity of Pakistan.
